McCain Foods has released its 2025 sustainability report, which highlights the launch of Farm of the Future UK and progress on the company’s Regenerative Agriculture Framework.

Farm of the Future UK is located on a 202-hectacre site in North Yorkshire and was developed in partnership with the University of Leeds.

The new site will focus on practices such as controlled traffic farming, year-round soil cover and biodiversity building. It will also pilot a circular nutrient system using pig manure.

The company also launched a five-year collaboration with New Brunswick’s McKenna Institute to develop a web-based decision support tool, intended to help farmers explore regenerative agriculture practices.

In its sustainability report, the company notes a 2.1% improvement in water use efficiency in water-stressed regions in 2025. McCain stated it has reduced its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 28% since 2017.

The report also stated that McCain donated 34.4 million meals to food banks and NGOs in 2025.
