Metro opens holiday pop up at Toronto’s Union Station
Metro and Food Basics have brought its Irrésistible pop-up to Toronto’s Union Station.
Through Dec. 23, visitors can explore seasonal products and a shoppable pantry as well as sample holiday-themed items from the Irrésistible line.
“The goal was to create a meaningful touchpoint beyond the grocery aisle at a time when consumers are seeking inspiration more than any other time of year,” Mathieu Robitaille, head of marketing – Ontario division, Metro told Canadian Grocer.
All products featured at the pop-up are available exclusively at Metro and Food Basics.
“This pop-up brings an accessible, uplifting holiday experience to Toronto’s busiest transportation hub, giving commuters and shoppers a moment of warmth and calm in the middle of the rush. It’s a place to solve for last-minute gifting before hopping on the subway, or to find that perfect finishing touch for an upcoming holiday gathering,” said Robitaille.
In a LinkedIn post on Dec. 11, Metro also notes the 2024 rebrand of Irrésistible is focused on “visibility, desirability, and ease of use, making products stand out across Ontario and Quebec.”
The pop-up was designed and executed by Proof Experiences.
