Metro Inc. has promoted Andrew Bridges to director, category management and merchandising planning, Metro Grocery.
Bridges first joined the company in 2009 as category administrator for Food Basics. He then rose through the ranks at the discount banner, most recently serving as senior category manager, pricing and merchandising.
In his new role, bridges will contribute to the development and execution of the annual strategy and business plan for the grocery merchandising department.
The role is responsible for leading all planning processes, including promotional planning, pricing strategy, merchandising standards and planning, and planogram and layout development.
