Couche-Tard said in September it plans to launch 100 private-label products this year.
Alimentation Couche-Tard has appointed Amy Jenkins as the new global head of its private-label and owned brands.
The announcement was made on LinkedIn by Jenkins, who wrote: "Looking forward to this new chapter in my career and working with this talented team. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey so far.”
Jenkins came to the operator of Circle K from home improvement retailer Lowe’s Companies Inc. where she had held the positions of director, brand analytics, and senior manager, brand analytics, for Lowe’s private brands.
She is taking over the role once held by Rodney Blanton, who left the after around two-decades with Couche-Tard to take a position with Amazon Go.
Jenkins' appointment comes as Couche-Tard looks to expand its private-label products.
During an analyst briefing in September, Alex Miller, chief operating officer and CEO-elect, said consumers are looking to stretch their finances and get more out of their food and beverage purchases.
“We're really going to focus on meal bundles and leveraging our service expertise with food to drive that and also continuing to focus on private label... We will add over 100 products in private label this year and look to continue to push those," he said.
