No Frills is opening its 300th store on Friday (Dec. 6), just a day after the discount grocer opened its 100th location in Western Canada.

Raman’s No Frills will welcome shoppers tomorrow at 325 Central Parkway West in Mississauga, Ont.

Spanning nearly 40,000 square feet, the store offers rotisserie chicken, an in-store bakery, organic and gluten-free options and grocery products.

“Reaching 300 stores is a testament to the loyalty of the millions of customers who rely on No Frills for quality food and exceptional value," said Melanie Singh, president of hard discount at Loblaw Cos. Ltd., in a release. "Since 1978, our commitment to offering low prices on everyday essentials has resonated with Canadians. This milestone fuels our passion to continue expanding and serving diverse communities across the country."

Store Owner Raman Kumar brings more than 14 years of grocery experience, having started his journey in Mississauga in 2012.

"My journey with No Frills began right here in Mississauga,” Raman Kumar stated. "Opening my second store in the Peel Region is incredibly rewarding. I'm dedicated to giving back to the community by creating 160 jobs and supporting local initiatives, including food banks and breakfast programs."
