No Frills opened its third small-format store in Toronto on Thursday (Sept. 12).

The 10,000 sq. ft. Bo’s No Frills is located in the city’s entertainment district at 261 Richmond Street West.

In May, the Loblaw Cos. Ltd. discount chain opened its first-ever small format store at the corner of King and Shaw streets. It opened another in July, in Toronto’s Liberty Village neighbourhood.

The store has created 50 new jobs in the area, Loblaw said.

Bo’s No Frills will offer a selection of organic and healthy food options, including groceries, produce, meat, sushi, BBQ chicken and in-store baked goods.

The grocer’s small format stores offer the same sales and promotions as traditional No Frills stores.

As part of the grand opening, Bo’s No Frills presented a donation of $1,500 to the Evangel Hall Mission, which supports individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness and social isolation.

“I joined the company in 2003 as a produce clerk and grew my career as a produce manager, assistant store manager and store manager. Today, I am a store owner and so thrilled to give back to the local community by creating 50 new jobs in the area and making a positive lasting impact on the community,” said Bo Obradovic, store owner, in a release.
