Nortera acquires the Green Giant and Le Sieur brands in Canada

Nortera has acquired the Green Giant and Le Sieur brands in Canada from U.S.-based B&G Foods. 

Nortera has been the exclusive producer of Green Giant and Le Sieur in Canada for 30 years. The acquisition will bring the two brands under Canadian ownership. 

Nortera’s Canadian operations span eight facilities, with more than 2,100 employees, and partnerships with over 400 local producers.

The Green Giant and Le Sieur brands will continue to be produced at Nortera's facilities in Tecumseh, Ont., Lethbridge, Alta., and Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu, Que., where a $28 million dollar investment to upgrade the Quebec production facility was recently announced. 

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
