Industry leaders convened in Toronto earlier this week for GroceryConnex, the premier event for Canadian grocery executives.
Canadian Grocer's annual conference returned to the Fairmont Royal York on Monday (Nov. 25) for an inspiring full day of keynotes, expert panels and networking.
With the theme of Evolving Retail, speakers shared insights on a range of topics covering consumer trends, new technologies, leadership and more.
Attendees heard from tech expert Amber Mac, who shared "4 Lessons to Thrive in our AI Future" in her keynote presentation. Other speakers included Nestlé Canada's John Carmichael, NIQ's Carman Allison and Loblaw's Frank Gambioli, among others.
Sharing their insights on a tech panel, moderated by Mac, were Metro's Frédéric Legault and Walmart's Michon Williams.
Canadian Grocer also announced the winners of the 2024 Generation Next Awards, recognizing 33 up-and-coming industry leaders.
And, as always, the Golden Pencil winners discussed their careers and lesson learned along the way. The winners were presented their awards during a ceremony following the conference.
