A new No Frills has opened in Toronto.

The Loblaw Companies discount grocery chain set up shop in North York Thursday (Sept. 17).

As previously reported by Canadian Grocer, No Frills is taking over the site of a former Whole Foods at 4771 Yonge Street, in the Hullmark Centre.

Nick’s No Frills promises a “strong focus on freshness” across produce, bakery and meat. It will also feature hot prepared foods, rotisserie chickens, in-store baked goods, beer and wine, as well as an expanded multicultural assortment, including products catering to the area’s East Asian and Persian communities.

The new store will create approximately 130 jobs.

To celebrate the grand opening, Nick’s No Frills will donate $1,500 to North York Women’s Shelter.
