PHOTOS: Save-On-Foods opens milestone 195th store

Save-On-Foods has opened a new location in Vernon, B.C.

The Western Canada grocer’s South Vernon supermarket is its 195th location overall.

Spanning more than 13,700 square feet, customers will find an assortment of grab-and-go items, including chicken wings, pot pies, lasagna and more; health and wellness products; full-service bakery and deli departments; a bulk food section offering pantry staples and household essentials; and hundreds of Western Family products. 

The store also features Unreal Deal with new deals every week and Bonus My Offers digital coupons. 

Customers can order groceries for pickup online or through the Save-On-Foods app starting Oct. 1.

“There has been a lot of excitement leading up to today, and it's rewarding to welcome customers into the store,” said store manager Michael Paré. “We're proud of what we've built together as a team and look forward to creating a place where neighbours can find quality products, great value and friendly faces they can count on.”

Grand opening celebrations began today (Sept. 24) and will continue through the weekend. 

"We have a long and proud history in Vernon, and we are excited to expand our presence in this community with the opening of Save-On-Foods South Vernon," said Jamie Nelson, president of parent company Pattison Food Group. "This new store allows us to better serve our customers, and strengthen our connection to a community that has supported us for generations."

Save-On-Foods South Vernon is located at #108 - 5301 25th Avenue in Landing Plaza.
