Super C opened its 121st store last week.

On June 18, the Metro Inc. discount banner set up shop in the sector of St-Nicéphore in Drummondville, Que.

The store—Super C’s second in Drummondville—represents an investment of more than $9.3 million.

With a floor area of more than 36,000 square feet, the store will feature a variety of fresh and grocery products tailored to the local community, as well as fresh meat prepared on-site, a sushi counter, organic and natural products, a selection of craft beers and microbrews and Première Moisson products, also part of Metro.

Additional features include wide aisles and 10 self-checkout lanes.

Click & Collect and delivery services are available, and shoppers can earn Moi rewards on their purchases.

“The opening of our St-Nicéphore store is part of a series of strategic expansions that strengthen our position as Quebec’s leading discount retailer,” said Anna Kolakowski, senior vice-president of Super C, in a press release. “Our priority remains the same: to offer consumers quality products at competitive prices, while providing a simple, efficient shopping experience focused on our three guarantees—Always Fresh, Always in Stock, and Always Great Prices.”

As part of the opening celebrations, Super C presented a $5,000 cheque to Moisson Mauricie / Centre-du-Quebec, a long‑time partner of Metro, notably through its food recovery program One More Bite.

The grand opening was attended by dignitaries and members of management.

Super C St-Nicéphore will employ 102 people.
