PlantX has named Fred Leigh director and executive chairman of the board of directors of the Vancouver-based company, effective immediately. Leigh previously served on the PlantX advisory board.
Leigh brings four decades of capital markets experience to the position, having “played key founding and executive roles in establishing and scaling numerous public companies,” according to a press release.
PlantX is primarily an e-commerce platform selling more than 10,000 plant-based products. The company has two bricks-and-mortar locations—one in San Diego, California and a flagship location in Squamish, B.C.—and recently expanded completed its integration as a seller on Walmart Canada Marketplace and Hudson’s Bay Marketplace.
