Since launching in 2013, the Saputo Legacy Program has invested $4 million in 88 projects across the world.

Who: Saputo

What: The company has made a $25,000 donation for upgrades to a baseball field in Saint John, N.B.

Thanks to the sponsorship from Saputo’s Legacy Program, four new enclosed dugouts have been added to Allison Grounds’ two ball fields. Designed to keep teams shaded, dry and protected from stray pop flies, the dugouts offer a safer, more comfortable space for the hundreds of kids and adults who hit the diamond each season.

“This project is a home run in every sense,” said Stéphanie Roy, senior manager of social impact and employee engagement at Saputo, in a press release. “Through the Legacy Program, we’re happy to create a place where people of all ages can stay active, have fun, and feel connected.”

Since launching in 2013, the Saputo Legacy Program has invested $4 million in 88 projects across the world—from batting cages in Vaughan, Ont. to tennis courts in Victoria, Australia.
