Who: Saputo

What: The company is joining forces with ready-to-eat meal delivery company WeCook to launch Poutine for Good in support of United Way Centraide Canada.

The limited-edition menu item will be available on WeCook for four consecutive weeks beginning Nov. 1.

For every poutine sold, WeCook and Saputo will donate $2 to United Way Centraide Canada.

The total amount of funds raised will be announced on Giving Tuesday (Dec. 1).

Poutine for Good puts a fresh spin on the classic, combining Saputo cheese curds, roasted potato cubes, smoked sausage and a creamy hot chicken-style sauce.

Saputo will provide the cheese curds, while WeCook will prepare the limited-edition poutine in its Montréal kitchens and bring it to customers across Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick, as well as in the Halifax, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver metro areas.

"At Saputo, supporting the communities where we live and work has always been important to us. We're proud to join forces with WeCook in support of United Way Centraide Canada and to bring people together around an iconic Canadian favourite. It's a simple and meaningful way to turn something people love into an opportunity to give back," said Tina Galluccio, director of marketing at Saputo, in a press release.

United Way Centraide Canada is the national office for United Ways and Centraides across Canada.
