Save-On-Foods returns to Port Moody, B.C.
Following a four-decade absence, Save-On-Foods has returned to Port Moody, a city in the Metro Vancouver region.
Located within the Heritage Mountain Shoppers Village, the new 13,000-square-foot store, which was formerly occupied by Meiga Supermarket, opened its doors Friday (Sept. 12) morning, leading into a weekend of celebrations.
The smaller, easy-to-shop format offers a wide range of items, including fresh produce, meat, dairy and grocery essentials in addition to fresh sushi and bento, artisan breads, croissants muffins and pies from the Save-On-Foods Kitchen.
“This store is a reflection of our commitment to serving each neighbourhood in a way that’s tailored to its unique needs,” said Jamie Nelson, president of Save-On's parent company Pattison Food Group, in a press release. “We are thrilled to be back in Port Moody, and excited to bring our signature quality, service, and local products to this vibrant community.”
The company last operated in Port Moody in the ’80s under the Your Mark-It Foods banner. This opening brings Save-On-Foods’ total footprint to 189 stores across B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Yukon.
