Smucker names new VP, sales and trade marketing

John Kotsopoulos takes over the role from Stephen Kouri, who is retiring at the end of the month

Smucker Foods of Canada has promoted John Kotsopoulos to the role of vice-president, sales and trade marketing.

Kotsopoulos replaces Stephen Kouri, who announced his retirement late last month. Kouri will remain with the company until the end of November.

Kotsopoulos joined Smucker in 2009 and was most recently director of sales. In a memo, Smucker's vice-president and general manager Aurelio Calabretta credits Kotsopoulos with helping the company keep Smucker's products on store shelves during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kotsopoulos has also held sales and trade marketing positions with Maple Leaf Foods and Unilever.
