Established by Junior Achievement of Canada in 1979, the Canadian Business Hall of Fame honours outstanding achievements of the country's most distinguished business leaders, both past and present. Ross Maund, president of Junior Achievement of Canada Foundation, said in a release that these individuals "become mentors and role models for Junior Achievement youth and Canada's future business leaders."
Weston, along with Aldo Bensadoun, CEO of Aldo Group, Guy Laliberté, founder of Cirque du Soleil, and Seymour Schulich, president of Nevada Capital Corporation, will be formally honoured as Order of the Business Hall of Fame Companions at the 2011 Gala Dinner Induction Ceremony on May 3, 2011 in Toronto.
