Big Rock Brewery Inc. says chief financial officer Don Sewell is resigning to pursue a career opportunity outside of the industry. His last day is Feb. 11.

The Calgary-based brewer has named Bill Hahn—its current director of finance—as interim CFO.

Hahn has more than two decades of experience as an auditor, controller and finance executive of public companies.

In a press release, Big Rock president and CEO Wayne Arsenault thanks Sewell for his leadership and contributions. “Don is a young, ambitious executive and I'm excited to watch him chase something entrepreneurial,” he said.

The company said it would begin a search for a permanent CFO with the qualifications to help implement its long-term growth strategy.
