Clifford Fong was recently appointed as 7-Eleven Canada's new senior category manager of fresh food and proprietary beverages. In the role, he will be directing product assortment, pricing strategies and customer experience innovations for fresh food and proprietary beverage portfolios.

Fong will be managing proprietary brands like the popular Slurpee, Big Bite hot dogs, the hot roller-grill snacks known as Taquitos and Crispy Classic Chicken. His previous role was the national category manager for confectionery and snack, which he held since February 2023.

Fong will be working alongside team members including national category manager Hitu Jethi.

In his LinkedIn post, Fong credits Marc Goodman as a leadership figure. "I’ve met so many amazing people that have helped me grow over this time, and those experiences helped me be successful in my current role. From changing the pricing landscape, simplifying the customer experience, and my favourite—be fun...so I guess now it’s time to take it to 11."

This is not Fong's first encounter with corporate success. His ability to "take it to 11" is evident as he was named one of 2025's Future Leaders in Convenience. “I value the constant opportunity for change and growth. Success in this industry requires humility and a willingness to learn from those around you. I take great pride in using the knowledge I gain to empower others, helping them grow,” he said of last year's award.
