Costco Wholesale Canada has unveiled a new Business Centre in Mississauga, Ont. The opening marks it's seventh location Canada and its fourth in Ontario.

At an expansive 117,000 square feet, the new location houses more than 3,000 items—from bulk foods to commercial kitchenware, office and cleaning supplies, furniture "and everything in between"—aimed at grocery and convenience stores, restaurants and offices.

The new warehouse, which is open to all Costco members, features a 14,000-sq.-ft. cooler and covered outdoor loading area. It also boasts it own fleet of 10 trucks to facilitate next-business-day delivery to commercial addresses inside a delivery zone that extends across the city.

The company describes the Business Centre concept is "vastly" different from a traditional Costco warehouse, with more than 70 per cent of product offerings unique to the Business Centre and targeting the needs of businesses "of all sizes".

Costco said it plans to open more Business Centres in Canada in the coming months.

"We are thrilled to open our doors and offer this new service, which will better respond to the needs of local business owners," said Marc-André Bally, senior vice-president, Canada Business Centres, in a press release. "The Costco Business Centre concept is already a resounding success in the Toronto area and we look forward to offering the same benefits to businesses in Mississauga and surrounding areas, which we also hope will bring many new consumers to discover the benefits of a Costco membership."
