Former Nestlé exec Steve Fox, Loblaw's Frank Gambioli join Food Industry Association executive committee

Steve Fox, former chief customer officer at Nestlé Canada Inc., and Frank Gambioli, president of the market/superstore/wholesale division at Loblaw Cos. Ltd., have joined the Food Industry Association of Canada's executive committee.

The news comes as the association opens nominations for the 2024 Golden Pencil Awards.

The ideal candidate should be actively involved with the Canadian grocery industry for a minimum of 10 years, achieving senior executive status, and will have made significant and worthwhile contributions to the Canadian Food Industry, their respective companies and community.

Presented annually since 1957, the 2023 recipients were Jamie Nelson, chief operating officer for Pattison Food Group, and Susan Niczowski, president and founder of Summer Fresh Salads Inc. 

The deadline to submit a nomination is May 24.

Winners will be recognized at the annual Golden Pencil Awards presentation following GroceryConnex in Toronto on Nov. 25.
