Maxi is growing its footprint in Quebec.
The Loblaw Companies discount retailer has set up shop in the district of Pintendre in Lévis.
Located on Président-Kennedy Road in Marché Pintendre, the 30,000 square-foot store represented a multi-million investment, Loblaw said.
"In today's environment, where everyone is looking for ways to reduce their grocery bills, Maxi is the smart choice. This opening reflects our ongoing commitment to making quality products accessible at affordable prices for the growing number of Quebecers who choose Maxi to feed their families," said Patrick Blanchette, senior vice-president, Maxi, in a press release.
The store offers fresh fruits and vegetables, an assortment of marinated meats, a range of local products across all departments and a full-service deli counter.
To mark the opening, store manager François Dionne has chosen to donate $2,500 to mutual aid organization Service d'entraide de Pintendre.
"My team and I look forward to welcoming customers and introducing them to the freshness and quality of their favourite products at the best prices, in a modern, brand-new environment. We are also committed to playing an active role in the community, supporting local organizations, and making a positive impact in the lives of our customers," Dionne said
