Molson Coors Beverage Co. has promoted Chantalle Butler to the role of president of its Canada business.

Butler, currently VP of sales finance for Canada, steps into the role April 2.

She succeeds longtime leader Frederic Landtmeters, who will leave Molson Coors in April to move closer to his family in Belgium.

Having joined the company five years ago, Butler has served as a key leader of Molson Coors’ strategy while overseeing fiscal activity nationwide.

Butler also currently serves as chair of The Beer Store.

Prior to Molson Coors, she was VP, group controller, financial reporting, at George Weston Ltd. and vice president of finance at Weston Bakeries Ltd.

She also spent almost a decade in various roles at Labatt Breweries of Canada.

"Stepping into this role is both an honour and an exciting challenge," Butler said in a statement.  "I am deeply committed to fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation as we continue to build upon the rich legacy of this iconic company. Together, we will navigate the evolving landscape of the Canadian beverage market, driving growth and delighting consumers with our exceptional brands."
