Ahmad Yehya is stepping down as CEO from Nabati Foods, the plant-based business he and his wife, Afaf Miri, founded in 2014. Yehya will continue, however, to oversee daily operations as COO.

Michael Aucoin--an investor in Nabati Foods, who is currently also serving as CEO of Eat Beyond--will step in as interim CEO to help grow the company, which produces a range of vegan food products.

Nabati products are currently sold in Canada, the U.S. and Hong Kong, and across grocery, foodservice, industrial, and e-commerce channels.

“We created Nabati Foods because we saw a gap in the market for plant-based, healthy options that would never feel like a trade-off. Our creations have now expanded into a fast-growing business with multiple product lines distributed globally,” said Yehya, in a press release. “I look forward to the growth that Mr. Aucoin's expertise can help us to achieve as we move into this next phase.”

Aucoin has more than 25 years of experience in food sales management and the consumer packaged goods industry, having held leadership roles with such companies as Advantage Solutions, Agropur, Hershey's and Smuckers. He joined Eat Beyond earlier this year.

“Mr. Yehya and the founders built the company on a strong foundation of passion, values, hard work, and a commitment to excellence, and I'm ready to build upon that momentum while leveraging my significant experience in the food and CPG sectors,” said Aucoin.
