“Fresh food is always better and local food is always fresher,” said Joe D'Addario, CEO of Nature’s Emporium in a release.
With that in mind, the company announced the launch of its second annual Local Love: Farm Edition. The program runs for 28 days from July 21 to August 17. It includes bi-weekly digital flyers and in-store information on locally produced foods and product sales, introduces the farmers and business owners behind those brands and closes the circle with a social media campaign designed to educate consumers on the benefits of shopping local.
“We know Canadians feel strongly about purchases that support local businesses because they serve an important purpose — it supports the economy they live and work in and helps a small business owner keep the lights on," said D'Addario.
Founded in 1993, Nature’s Emporium has Ontario locations in Newmarket, Maple, Burlington and Woodbridge with a fifth planned for Toronto by early 2023.
