No Frills opens stores in Ontario and Saskatchewan
No Frills has opened two new stores in Ontario and Saskatchewan.
In Ontario, the Loblaw Companies discount supermarket opened its first location in Dutton.
Located at 210 Currie Road, the new 8,000-square-foot store offers a selected grocery assortment tailored to the community, including weekly grocery essentials, hot prepared foods such as cooked chickens, freshly baked goods and a selection of alcoholic beverages.
The opening of Dutton No Frills will create 50 jobs.
No Frills marked the opening with a $1,500 donation to the West Elgin Daffodil Auxiliary.
“Smaller communities are an important part of how we think about growing the No Frills® network and serving more Canadians,” said Jennifer Teixeira, senior vice president, No Frills Operations, in a press release. “Opening in Dutton shows how stores designed around local needs can improve access to quality, affordable groceries and everyday value. We’re proud to invest in the community, create local jobs and become part of the routines of families throughout the area.”
In Saskatchewan, meanwhile, Normand’s No Frills welcome shoppers in the community of Emerald Park.
The store spans 32,000 square feet and is located at 6 South Plains Road.
The opening was attended by No Frills store owners, the local MLA and representatives from the Regina Food Bank.
As part of the opening celebrations, the Emerald Park team presented a $1,500 donation to the Regina Food Bank.
