PHOTOS: Super C opens in Lavaltrie
Super C opened its doors in Lavaltrie, Que. Thursday morning (Aug. 6) after several weeks of construction.
Representing a $10 million investment, the discount grocery store is now three times larger and than its former location.
Super C Lavaltrie employs around 100 people, including most of the existing team members as well as some 40 new employees.
The inauguration took place Wednesday evening, with dignitaries and members of management in attendance.
Shoppers will find a wider selection of fresh and grocery products. New features include a fresh meat counter with products prepared on-site by butchers, an Aki Sushi counter where sushi is made in-store, and an assortment of organic and natural products, craft beers and Première Moisson products.
“This new investment allows us to further strengthen our position as Quebec’s leading discount retailer. We are proud to say that we offer the best quality-price ratio,” said Anna Kolakowski, senior vice-president of Metro Inc.-owned Super C, in a press release. “Every day, our teams are committed to providing consumers with quality products at highly competitive prices and a shopping experience that is both simple and efficient. We continue to focus on our three guarantees—Always Fresh, Always in Stock, and Always Great Prices.”
To celebrate the opening, the store also presented a $5,000 cheque to Moisson Lanaudière.
