SIAL Canada reveals winners of 2026 Innovation Competition
SIAL Canada announced the winners of its Innovation Competition on Wednesday (April 29).
Kunana’s Unsweetened Banana Milk won Gold. Silver was presented to La Terre du 9’s Black Garlic Sauce (soy‑sauce style).
Les Beurrés took home Bronze for its range of flavoured butters in aluminum capsules.
Also this year, SIAL Canada introduced a new distinction: the Retailers’ Favourite Award, won by Lion’s Mane Mushroom Company for its Lion’s Mane Mushroom Steak.
Out of 320 applications from 30 countries, the competition’s co-presidents Isabelle Marquis and Xavier Terlet selected 135 products from 14 countries as finalists.
Selected products must have been launched in North America after January 2025, offer something new or different from what exists in the Canadian market (with potential to expand to other markets), create value and demonstrate innovation in recipe, packaging, manufacturing process and/or sustainability.
SIAL Canada’s 23rd edition takes place April 29 to May 1 at the Palais des congrès de Montreal.
