As the largest professional trade show dedicated to the agri-food industry in North America, SIAL Canada will hold its 23rd edition from April 29 to May 1, 2026, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. The show brings together exhibitors, buyers, decision-makers, and manufacturers from every Canadian province and around the world, all united by a common goal: to discover, innovate, and drive the growth of the food industry here and abroad.

As the current context pushes Canada to diversify its markets and strengthen its food autonomy, SIAL Canada’s strategic importance is paramount for companies seeking to expand their outlets and diversify their network of buyers or suppliers.

“SIAL Canada is a crossroads where decision‑makers and manufacturers from every Canadian province, and from around the world, come together. At a time when the industry is seeking greater security, our show delivers exactly what sector stakeholders need: high‑quality connections that lead to tangible results.”, says Stéphane Thuillier, General Manager of SIAL Canada.

The 2026 edition will feature an offering that spans the entire agri-food industry, with global representation and flagship sectors such as grocery, the rapidly expanding beverage category, and dairy and cheese. Dedicated zones will highlight packaging, processing and equipment, fresh products, start-ups and innovation, along with international and Canadian pavilions showcasing the country’s agri-food ecosystem.

SIAL Canada 2026 will also present more than 20 conference sessions across 10 thematic tracks, exploring major opportunities in the sector, from artificial intelligence and health to marketing and packaging. The SIAL Dairy Pavilion will offer tastings, pairing workshops, and educational sessions on emerging dairy trends, while the Expert Hub will bring together key players from the Canadian agri-food industry in an interactive Q&A format. In addition, The Food Professor podcast, hosted by Dr. Sylvain Charlebois and Michael LeBlanc, will be recorded live from the show floor.

Also highlighted during the event, the SIAL Innovation competition will honor the most innovative Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) launched since January 2025, including a new Retailers’ Choice Award. The second edition of the Canadian Cheesemonger Competition will celebrate the expertise of cheese professionals across the country, as six pre‑selected cheesemongers compete live in four challenges, including the creation of an artistic platter inspired by the theme Cultural Mosaic in Canada. The SIALPitch Competition will also showcase fifteen start-ups across three categories, Startup FoodTechStartup Scale CPG, and Startup Seed CPG, as they present their vision for the future of food, with the goal of supporting and accelerating the next generation of entrepreneurs in the sector.
