Tree of Life's Chris Powell and Patrick Heffernan
Tree of Life Canada has appointed Patrick Heffernan to the role of senior vice-president of customer and client development as Chris Powell, senior vice-president of customer development, prepares to retire.
Heffernan steps into his new position with Tree of Life on Nov. 29. Heffernan will work closely with Powell, who is retiring in May following a 31-year career with the company.
“We are grateful to Chris for driving success at Tree of Life and thank him for his role in development and progress of the company,” stated Lisa MacNeil, president of Tree of Life Canada, in a press release. “During his tenure business has doubled and he has been a mentor to many. His Influence has made an indelible impact.”
Heffernan has more than 20 years of experience and has held senior executive roles across the grocery, food service and drug industries. He was most recently managing partner with REMBrands and prior to that was vice-president of supply chain and supplier relations at United Natural Foods Canada Inc. (UNFI Canada). Heffernan will report to MacNeil.
