DoorDash Mother’s Day pop-ups bring self-care to grocery shopping
DoorDash is pampering busy moms with grocery-store-meets-spa pop-ups in Toronto and Calgary.
For Mother’s Day, the delivery company is launching “The Village Grocer.” On the outside, the “store” appears to be a regular supermarket. But inside, moms will find an immersive space where they can trade running errands for manicures, food and curated grocery goodie bags.
Three themed “grocery aisles” combine manicures, food and florals into a single experience—from Italian pasta with butter yellow nails, to brunch-inspired pancakes with glazed donut chrome manicures and a bold chili ramen set paired with red-hot nail art.
Passerbys can join in on the fun via an on-site café offering complimentary drinks and light bites.
The campaign includes an influencer program to drive awareness and traffic.
DoorDash’s The Village Grocer runs May 7 to 8 in Toronto and May 31 to June 1 in Calgary.
