Farm Boy is setting up shop in Port Credit, Ont. as the anchor tenant of the planned 72-acre Brightwater community.
The 25,000 square foot store – the grocer’s first in Mississauga – will be located along the Lakeshore Road West main street, near the Mississauga Road intersection.
Slated to open mid-2024, the store will create some 120 jobs in the neighbourhood.

“For over 40 years, Farm Boy has always put great food and experience first, and we are delighted with how customers across the province have responded,” said Farm Boy president and general manager Shawn Linton in a statement. “We are looking forward to expanding our presence across the GTA with our first location in Mississauga at Brightwater.”
Announced in 2020, Port Credit West Village Partners’ master-planned Brightwater community promises to bring more than 18 acres of green spaces and trails, as well as 300,000 square feet of retail, commercial and office space to the Port Credit waterfront.
It will also include a new Village Square flanked by pedestrian mews and piazzas.
Construction on Brightwater broke ground in October 2021.
