The delivery company has signed a deal to bring 12 of the retailer’s banners onto its network, including Sobeys, Safeway, IGA, FreshCo, Farm Boy and Longo’s. Empire convenience brands Needs, Boni-Soir and Voisin are also available for on-demand delivery via DoorDash. Read more
Canada Packers says it is passing high fuel costs on to customers
Maple Leaf Foods’ pork operations said this week it is passing on higher fuel costs to its customers as oil prices have skyrocketed since the outbreak of the war in Iran. The Mississauga, Ont.-headquartered company reported a first-quarter profit of $43.8 million. Read more

Calgary Co-op returns to profitability
The co-operative reported a profit of $6.12 million in its 2025 fiscal year following a net loss of $10.04 million in the previous year. Sales came to $1.55 billion in 2025, an increase from $1.48 billion in 2024. Read more
