Join grocery decision makers for the 37th edition of Grocery & Specialty Food West – Grocery Redefined, taking place at the Vancouver Convention Centre, East BuildingApril 21-22. Starting Monday, CFIG Member grocers will be on a guided tour of local innovative retailers. In the evening, all attendees are invited to network at the opening reception. Morning sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday will be chock full of exclusive GSF expert insights. Tuesday Carman Allison, NielsenIQ will provide insights into the new balance between aspiration and affordability.

Next, Stewart Samuel, IGD, will look at how to drive growth through smarter prepared foods. Dan Chuparkoff, former Google tech leader, kicks off Wednesday with a look at AI and retail innovation.

Next, there are concurrent workshops from FMS, EnsembleIQ, workforce expert Eric Termuende, and a must-attend session around what the code is doing for independents with Giancarlo Trimarchi, Vince’s Market; and Brian Bradley, Stong’s Markets. Not to miss is the grocery panel on customer service with Lauren Redman, Rudy’s Markets; Ron Avery, Calgary Co-op; Brad Fletcher, The Village Grocer.

The Top 10 in Grocery winners will be selected on Tuesday to highlight the latest goods in grocery. On the floor, catch the education sessions on the Insights and Innovations Stage. Staff retention tactics will be presented by Eric Termuende, and Patrick Rodmell, Rodmell & Company, will look at customer experience vs. agentic AI.

Category Connect GSF 2025

Category Connect meetings are available on Monday before the opening reception. These one-on-one meetings allows the industry to discuss products, services and/or solutions in their respective categories.
